Wharton State Forest provides camping areas for all camping
enthusiasts. Facilities include trailer sites, tent sites, and cabins at
Atsion and wilderness sites with access only by hiking, canoeing or by
horseback.

Hiking:
Hiking trails are available in Wharton
State Forest. The most well known is the Batona Trail. For information about

Several Rivers run through Wharton State
Forest. Canoeing is a
popular activity. Several canoe rental companies are in the area. Information is
