The Batsto Citizens Committee Inc. is a non-profit, completely volunteer organization which depends on your donations to assist the State of New Jersey in preserving and interpreting the history of Batsto Village, Atsion Mansion and Wharton State Forest. Through various events hosted by the committee – including the annual Country Living Fair and Winter in the Pines – it continues to provide funding, expertise, and volunteer service to help sustain these important historical sites. Your generous support ensures that the committee can continue to offer educational and family-friendly programs that allow visitors a glimpse of what rural life was like in the ecologically significant southern New Jersey Pinelands during the 18th and 19th centuries.
The Batsto Citizens Committee itself has a long history, dating back more than 60 years, of helping the state preserve and protect the site’s antiquities, promoting historical research, and helping sustain the work of volunteer craftsmen.
By becoming a member of our adjunct organization, Friends of Batsto, or making a monetary donation, you have the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with the organization to see that our mission of preservation and sustainability for Batsto and its environs continues.
